Dr. Marisa Bermudez

Dr. Bermudez has experience working with children and adults with a variety of diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, attachment disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorder, and mood disorders. She also works with families experiencing relational and communication difficulties.

 
Dr. Marisa Bermudez

Dr. Bermudez looks to identify the underlying causes behind negative behaviors and unhealthy coping skills to identify alternative strategies to attend to unmet needs. She specializes in working with children and families on behavior management and parent training to develop intentional parenting that promotes problem-solving skills and emotional regulation.

Dr. Bermudez employs an integrative theoretical orientation, using techniques from a variety of clinical approaches, including CBT, mindfulness, and an interpersonal process to best suit the patient’s needs.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Bermudez graduated with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University, an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program. She completed an APA and APPIC accredited internship at the Nebraska Internship Consortium for Professional Psychology.
